This article is dedicated to anyone who:
- usually feels bored and can’t seem to be doing any good in his/her life other than eating and sleeping
- most of the time think of brilliant solutions to life’s problems but end up keeping those ideas in his/her dreams
- feel like wasting his/her life with many unessential things and hope to make a change real soon.
There is one thing I wanna let you know: You are not alone.
There are millions of people in this planet who feel the same as you do: some richer, some poorer, some ignorant, some special human beings. This feeling of living a wasted life can be felt by almost any human being who has ever lived. We all have our ups and downs in life but that’s not what’s important.
The real deal is knowing how to move that mountain forward.
Surprisingly, that mountain is YOU. Yes, you. You are the mountain that needs to move forward and give its life a whole new different meaning.
Let me help you enumerate ways to keep yourself moving towards a more meaningful life.
Learn a thing or two. Is it cooking that you have always wanted to know about? Is it a new language or a new dance move? Maybe it’s a new sport or a new design that you want to try. If you haven’t thought of anything just yet, why not ask your closest family or friend about his or her hobby? You’ll be surprised with how happy they’d be to find you interested with what they also do.
Keep in touch with your old friends. When was the last time you heard from your high school best friend? From your closest relative? From your favorite teacher? There are unlimited ways of communicating to them in this technologically advanced world. Feel free to choose which medium you are most comfortable with.
Clean your room or your house. There’s always something to tidy up in every person’s room or house. Maybe it’s your appliances that need a little dusting off or your bed sheets or pillow cases that need to be changed and washed. Maybe it’s your shoes or your clothes that need to be rearranged.
Make a list of the things you need to buy and hit the nearest shop. We never run out of things to buy. It may be food or toiletry that needs a refill or replacement. It can be school supplies or other things you technically can’t live without. Buy the things you need while you still remember them. Don’t we all enjoy shopping?
Do some gardening. Green is in. Why not do Mother Nature some good? Adopt a new plant which you could water everyday or put a plant at every corner of your house. This way, you’re not only keeping yourself busy; you also make yourself a good example of how a simple human being can take action and stand for the environment.
This list is actually a tiny bit of the ice berg of life and can go a long long way, depending on how open you are to change.
Now, ask youself, “What activities can make my soul jump up in the air again?”
You can list down as many as a hundred, a million, a billion more activities in this list. The important thing is YOU ACTUALLY DO THEM.
Get that?
Keep yourself moving forward. There is no other way but UP!
