Aim for Greatness An Introduction

Here's the first part of Project Aim for Greatness Series.

Origin of the word. Aim for Greatness came from my internet marketing mentor. He gave me this word as a password for a certain virtual assistant task. I worked as a virtual assistant under his supervision for free. Imagine that. Technically, the word did not come from me but up to this very moment I remember this one liner reminder. Aim for Greatness.

Why aim for greatness?

God wants the best for us. He wants us to succeed just like every parent wants for their children. As children we need to respond. We need to succeed to make our parents proud. We should be great because God wants us to be great.

God has given us gifts. God has given us talents. God has given us a bunch of arsenals and a lot of ammunition for the battle we have to face and to conquer our future.

How to conquer our future you might ask? The main problem with future is uncertainty. Our future is uncertain. We could not predict what will happen to us in two, five or ten years time. We could not see it now. But if we can see it, we can plan it ahead.

But believe me that we can be something we want in two, five or ten years time. We can be successful in two years time. We can earn as much as we want to in two years time. We can have a happy family in five years time. We can even have our own house and lot in seven years time. It all depends on us. It all depends in our choices, in our actions, in the things that we do and the things that we didn't do. We can prophesy. I believe that we all have the power to prophesy. I believe that all of us can prophesy the future more importantly our future.

How to become great? How to aim for greatness?

First we need to have goals. Second thing is to have a concrete plan on how to achieve that goal and lastly act based on plans.

On my next posts, I'll be sharing my goals my plans and how would I act based on those plans.

Ten Things I Do As I Open My Internet Browser

This post is about my ten things I do most of the time when I'm online.

1. Check on my Yahoo!Mail.

This is basically the first thing I do as I open my internet browser. I check on my emails. I read them and try to organize my Inbox. So that if there's a point in time that I'll be needing that email, I can recover them quickly.

I'll be reading God's message as I start the day and as I start my browsing session whichever comes first. God's messages come from Kerygma Family. It contains the Readings for the day as well as some inspirational article written by priests (for Sabbath) and ordinary individuals (for Didache) By the way, if you want to receive God's messages everyday, join Kerygma Family now. 2. Check on my Facebook Account.

3. Check on my Twitter Account.

Aha. Twitter. I check on my twitter account to get some news so that I could blog about them. Most of the time, twitter is the source of my blog posts. 4. Search for torrents to download / Watch Youtube

Basically, this is the fun part of searching the internet. I browse movies, I watch them online or offline it depends. Starting September 21, I'll be using my torrent downloader more often. You want to know why? Click on this link. You'll be surprised.


5. Check on my Adsense account.

The great motivator of blogging. Do I need to say more? If you haven't tried blogging, I think now is the time. You can create a passive income as google ads publisher. 6. Check on my pinoynetwizards account.

This is the venue where I could share my knowledge regarding Internet Marketing. Also, this is the portal where I could ask some questions regarding internet marketing. In addition, this is a place where you can promote your blogs, websites, and other online based business. Thanks to Jomar for creating this one.


7. Check on my blogs.

I checked on my blogs status. I'm noting where the visitors are coming from with the use of some widgets. For blogger widgets that I use check on this link : No Regrets Widgets for more details.


8. Create blog posts.

If there's a new interesting article I found in the google search or twitter, I'll be posting it as soon as I can. By the way, I'm using blogger as the host for my blogs.


9. Post a status on Ping.fm

After creating blog posts, I'll be promoting it. In order to do it with less time, I use Ping.fm. Ping.fm helps me to posts status messages on different social networking sites like twitter, facebook, friendster etc with one click. To register click : ping.fm.


10. Search for new topics to blog.

Passion or Adsense-Optimized/SEO Blog?

Passion blog or Adsense-Optimized/SEO blog? If it's both then good. But what if it's not? This question keeps my mind busy yesterday as i replied to one forum question in PinoyNetWizards.

So in today's post, I'll be discussing the pros and cons of passion and Adsense-Optimized/SEO blog based on my experience.

Passion blog. I had created a lot of blogs about them. The most famous of them is my Heroes Blog. It contains spoilers, news and everything about my favorite TV show Heroes. I love writing and searching about the latest Heroes news, gossips and spoilers in the world wide web.

Creating a passion blog requires lesser time as compared to Adsense-Optimized/SEO blogs. Promoting it with Social Networks like Facebook, Twitter and Multiply is not a problem as well. The fun factor in doing this is very, very high. However, based on my experience, most of passion blog does not earn much or takes some time to earn a lot. To tell you the truth, my Heroes site has the highest number of clicks, page impressions and traffic but it is not the blog site with the highest revenue.

Of course, Adsense-Optimized/SEO blogs have the highest revenue. It can generate adsense income with lower clicks and page impressions. Minimal promotion is needed because visitors will be coming from search engines. However, creating an Adsense-Optimized/SEO blog requires a lot of time doing research in the world wide web. Searching for the topic/niche. Finding the keywords with high cost per click (CPC) and low competition. But after setting it up, just wait for around two weeks and expect the fruits of your labor. So what is it? Passion or Adsense-Optimized/SEO Blog?

Answer : It all depends on your blogging purpose. If you want to tell the world your story, then create a passion blog. Otherwise, if you want to earn online Adsense-Optimized/SEO Blog is for you.

Now ask yourself, what's your purpose?
