Be Thankful!

Sad news are reported for the past couple of weeks due to Typhoon Ondoy which flooded mostly of Southern Luzon area and Typhoon Pepeng which devastated the Northern part of Luzon.

I believe most of you have your own individual stories to tell. I have one as well but I'm really thankful that we, my family and my love ones were not greatly affected as compared to other parts of Luzon which brings me to my topic for today. Be thankful.

As we speak, there are thousand families in evacuation centers. They don't have enough food. They don't have a proper shelter. They've lost almost everything. Most of them does not know where and how to start all over again. Perhaps, they know where to start but they are afraid. Afraid that they might lost everything again.

But the good news is that there are a lot of people willing to help. A lot of them are willing to build everything that was destroyed. A lot of them are willing to gain everything that was lost. If that moment comes, we should be thankful.

This article is not for those affected by the typhoon alone. This article is applicable to all of us as well. Everything we experience, everything we encounter give thanks. Whether it's a blessing or a curse, good or bad, give thanks.

But you might ask, why should I give thanks if bad stuff comes my way? Well, if that happens, change your mindset, be optimistic and be thankful. Be thankful because you have a learning opportunity ahead of you. Be thankful because after your experience with that bad stuff and remembering all the things that you've learned, you'll become a better person.

I know this is a cliche, diamonds are formed under extreme temperature and pressure. You are a diamond in the making, so be thankful.

Thoughts for the day...

I have so many things in my mind that I want to share but everytime I stare at my computer everything slips away.

For the past couple of days, I have been planning to write about these topics : the continuation of the Aim for Greatness Series, the simple formula for success, prophesying your future, and some excel tips I want to share. None of these topics are published.

What's happening? Am I depressed? Am I busy?

Nope. Actually I'm very happy for the past couple of days. Yes I'm busy but I'm very happy. I'm happy to spend some quality time with my friends, my family and most importantly my Edel.

Facebook, YFC and It's Your Birthday activities reconnect me with my high school friends. Survivor Philippines with my family and the school business and Heroes/House TV Series with Edel. (By the way, I'm loving House. We're currently watching the whole Season 1 for the past couple of days. Thanks to Neil for giving me a copy of the previous seasons.)

Juggling different activities is tiring but I know I'm enjoying every second of it. This is probably the reason why I'm happy, being able to accomplish a lot of tasks.

Now I know, my mind wonders so much hindering me to come up with one cohesive thought. Thus, preventing me to write a blog entry.

But for tonight I'm glad I have created another masterpiece.
